Help Us Show What Church Looks Like—Artwork Needed from Children & Youth

Children and youth across the Grand Canyon Synod are invited to submit original artwork for the 2025 Synod Assembly! This year’s theme is “Build Up the Body” (Ephesians 4:12–13), and selected artwork will be displayed at the Assembly, featured online, and printed as postcards. Send a Full, Faithful Delegation to Synod Assembly 2025

Now is the time for congregations to elect voting members for the 2025 Synod Assembly, June 12–13 in Las Vegas. Each congregation is allowed two lay voting members, with more permitted based on congregation size—and two additionalvoting members are encouraged: one youth or young adult, and one person of color or person whose primary language is other than English. These additional seats don’t count against your total—bring your full voice to the assembly!

Martha Garner has joined the Lutheran Advocacy Ministry Arizona (LAMA) Policy Council to represent northern Arizona. A longtime music educator, community leader, and active member of Living Christ Lutheran Church in Flagstaff, Martha brings deep experience in ministry and advocacy. Her faith journey—shaped by Rainbow Trail, Lutheran Campus Ministry, and CASA work—prepares her well for this new call to public witness.
