Help Us Show What Church Looks Like—Artwork Needed from Children & Youth
Children and youth from across the Grand Canyon Synod are invited to help shape this year’s Synod Assembly by sharing how they see Jesus, the Church, and their own role in the Body of Christ. We’re collecting original artwork that reflects our 2025 theme, “Build Up the Body,” drawn from Ephesians 4:12-13:
“…to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ…”
Whether it’s a painting of Jesus surrounded by people, a crayon drawing of a welcoming church, or a digital collage showing how we care for one another—young voices can offer powerful visions of faith. This is a chance for our youngest members to witness through their creativity and help bring the Assembly to life.
🖼️ How to Participate
Who can submit? Children and youth from any congregation across the Grand Canyon Synod.
How to submit? Artwork should be uploaded by a parent, pastor, or faith leader using our online form.

🎨 Where Will the Art Be Displayed?
At Synod Assembly: All artwork will be displayed for voting members and guests to see.
Online Gallery: The full collection will be showcased on the synod website.
Postcards: 25 pieces will be printed as postcards and shared as gifts during Assembly.
Bonus: Every child who submits art will be entered into a drawing to win a gift card for more art supplies!

Faith leaders, Sunday School teachers, and Lutheran school art instructors: please encourage the young artists in your congregation or classroom to participate. Share this opportunity in bulletins, school newsletters, and Sunday morning announcements. Let’s lift up the voices of children as they help us see the Church anew.
