Calling All Youth: Leadership Lab Builds Lifelong Lutheran Leaders

  • Leadership Lab 2025: Grow in Faith, Lead with Purpose

  • June 23-28 | Augustana College, Rock Island, Illinois

Youth from the Grand Canyon Synod are invited to join a weeklong leadership experience that has shaped generations of Lutheran leaders: Leadership Lab 2025, happening June 23-28 at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois.

Now in its 60th year, Leadership Lab is open to youth who have completed 8th grade through age 24. Lab equips young people to grow in faith, strengthen leadership skills, and build lifelong relationships in a Christ-centered environment. Many rostered ministers and church leaders today trace their spiritual formation back to this powerful week of connection, worship, learning, and fun.

Registration is now open at leadershiplab.net. Costs vary by level and travel; those flying from Arizona or Nevada should plan ahead for airfare to the Quad Cities Airport (MLI). Financial assistance may be available through your congregation or the synod.

Leadership Lab is about more than developing future church leaders—it’s about forming faithful disciples who can lead in all aspects of life. Worship, small group conversations, late-night laughter, and meaningful service combine to create a life-changing experience rooted in the Gospel.

As the Grand Canyon Synod, let’s encourage our young people to attend, grow, and bring their faith home with fresh energy. If you or your congregation have questions about travel or registration, please reach out—we’d love to help.
