Gather Magazine Seeks Faith-Filled Creators—Nominate by April 11

Gather magazine is calling on congregations and individuals across the ELCA to help spotlight artisans who blend faith and creativity in powerful ways. For an upcoming issue, Gather will feature a special section on homemade products that support ministry or serve as expressions of faith.

Do you know a woman, congregation, or group in the Grand Canyon Synod—or beyond—who creates and sells handmade items such as soap, clothing, candles, food, cards, or artwork to fund ministry or witness to their faith? This is a beautiful opportunity to lift up their story.

Please send nominations to Gather Managing Editor Cindy Novak at gather@elca.org by Friday, April 11. Include the name of the artisan or group, contact information, and a brief description of what they create and how it supports their faith and ministry.

This invitation from Women of the ELCA highlights a core Lutheran value: vocation. In the Lutheran tradition, vocation is not just about what we do for work—it’s about how we live out our faith in everyday life. These artisans embody that call, weaving together creativity, purpose, and discipleship in every item they craft.

Let’s make sure the voices and gifts from the Grand Canyon Synod are part of this story. Share their work. Tell their story. Uplift their faith.
