Pastor Dan Potaznick Recertified as CFRE: A Commitment to Ethical Generosity

We are proud to share that Rev. Dan Potaznick, Director of Generosity & Strategic Development for the Grand Canyon Synod, has officially recertified as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) through CFRE International.

This distinguished certification affirms Pastor Dan’s continued commitment to ethical, effective fundraising—rooted in faith and dedicated to serving donors and ministries with excellence. He has held the CFRE designation since 2020 and is now among more than 7,700 professionals worldwide who meet rigorous standards for education, experience, and performance in the fundraising field.

The CFRE credential is recognized globally as the premier standard for fundraising professionals. Candidates undergo a comprehensive evaluation and examination process, pledging to uphold the Donor Bill of Rights and the highest accountability standards in the profession.

To maintain certification, CFREs must demonstrate ongoing fundraising success and continuing education every three years. The credential is supported by many of the world’s top professional and philanthropic organizations, including the Association for Christian Fundraising and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

We celebrate Pastor Dan’s continued leadership in generosity and development—helping our synod sustain vibrant ministry and faithful witness across Arizona, southern Nevada, St. George, Utah, and the Navajo Nation.
