This Advent season, The Lutheran World Federation (LWF) invites us on a journey of joy and reflection. From December 1–24, the LWF will share daily video messages highlighting Advent and Christmas as seasons of joy and hope. These videos, featuring voices from LWF member churches and country programs around the globe, will explore what joy means in today’s world.

Rev. Arni Danielsson, LWF’s Head of Communication, shared the vision for this initiative: “Advent is a time of joy when we prepare our hearts to celebrate Christ’s birth. Through these short messages, we hope to share joy across our global communion and learn more about each other.”

The “Messages of Joy” series features diverse contributors—men and women, young and old, lay and ordained—offering theological insights and personal stories that resonate in their unique cultural contexts. Each reflection connects us to the profound joy of the Advent season while celebrating the richness of our Lutheran communion.

Don’t miss this opportunity to deepen your Advent journey. Visit LWF’s Advent Calendar to view each day’s video and share in the joy of the season.
