Worship, Learn, and Reconnect at the Festival of Homiletics

Preaching to Heal the Divide: Festival of Homiletics 2025

Each year, thousands of pastors, preachers, and leaders gather to be renewed—through prophetic sermons, rigorous theological reflection, vibrant worship, and community rooted in the Gospel. The Festival of Homiletics is more than a preaching conference. It’s a call to deep spiritual nourishment and a shared vision of justice, compassion, and the healing power of the Word.

This year’s theme is Preaching to Heal the Divide. Across our synod and throughout the country, people are hungry for preaching that brings hope to polarized communities, clarity to challenging conversations, and healing to broken places. That’s what this year’s Festival promises—sermons and lectures that are not only theologically rich but tender, provocative, and deeply attuned to our times.

Whether you attend in-person in Atlanta or participate virtually from home, you’ll experience world-class preaching, thoughtful lectures, moving worship, and community moments that remind us we are not alone in this calling. With outstanding musicians, liturgists, and preachers from across the country, worship will be a place of restoration between sessions of bold and thoughtful proclamation.

Our Lutheran theology reminds us that the Word not only speaks to us but forms us—shaping us as a people of grace, faith, and public witness. The Festival of Homiletics is one way we gather together in that formation. It’s where we return again and again to be uplifted, stretched, and reminded of why we do this work.

So, will you join us? Come with your questions, your weariness, your curiosity, and your hope. Let’s worship, learn, and heal—together.
