Who Won the Peanut Butter Wars? 39,019 pounds gathered!
After a hard, month-long battle, the war is finally over! Lutheran Social Services of Nevada is humbled by the outpouring of support they received from our congregations. With the help of six local churches, they collected 39,019 pounds of peanut butter over the course of July-- by far their greatest total yet! Who won?
Now, for the congregational totals:
In sixth place was St. Andrew with 221 pounds!
In fifth place was the Lakes Lutheran with 278 pounds!
In fourth place was Christ the Servant with 676 pounds!
In third place was Holy Spirit Lutheran Church with 3,868 pounds!
In second place was New Song with 13,489.3 pounds, over 4,700 pounds more than the previous record!
And finally, first place was ……Good Samaritan Lutheran Church with a whopping 20,487 pounds!!!!
