Unlock the Art of Preaching with Diakonia’s Four-Week Course
Have you ever been invited to preach but hesitated, unsure of what to say or how to say it? For many, the thought of preparing and delivering a sermon can feel overwhelming. Diakonia graduates, this course is for you.
Diakonia is offering a four-week Zoom class titled “Preaching Good News to a World in Shambles,” specifically designed to help you craft and deliver meaningful sermons that engage the heart. Led by Reverend Carl Zimmermann, this course will meet on four consecutive Saturdays from 9 AM to noon on the following dates: October 19, October 26, November 2, and November 9.
This course is not only about explaining scripture but using it to inspire and uplift your congregation. Participants will delve into writings by renowned preachers Dr. Tom Long and Pastor Barbara Brown Taylor and will also view curated YouTube presentations. As part of the practical learning experience, attendees will prepare and deliver three brief homilies and one full-length sermon.
The cost of the course is $200, and a special incentive is being offered: four participants will be randomly chosen to receive a $25 gift card at the end of the course.
