Understanding Documentation and Legal Aspects in Faith Community Nursing
The Lutheran Faith Community Nurse Association is delighted to bring you a comprehensive workshop on Documentation and Legal Aspects of Faith Community Nursing (FCN) Practice. This educational event, spearheaded by Denise Viker, RN BSN, will provide an in-depth understanding of the legal guidelines, professional boundaries, and documentation standards for faith community nurses and health leaders.
Denise, a Registered Nurse in Arizona, comes with rich experience in client education, nursing education, program management, and community collaboration. As the President of the Health Ministry Association, she blends her expertise to offer this informative session.
Participants of this workshop will walk away with significant insights. They will explore various documentation structures for Health and Wellness programs, understand how to collect relevant data systematically for reporting, and recognize the importance of following legal guidelines in documentation. Additionally, they will identify novel approaches to establish and maintain professional boundaries and learn ways to minimize liability exposure.
This promising session will take place on August 17, 2023, at various times across time zones. The registration fee is $20 for LFCNA members and $30 for non-members, and attendees will be awarded 2.0 contact hours.
