Spirit in the Desert Welcomes New Director of Advancement
Spirit in the Desert Retreat Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Chanse Frenette as the new Director of Advancement. Chanse joined the team on August 19, 2024, bringing a wealth of experience and a passion for driving transformative growth in the non-profit sector.
A graduate of Howard Payne University with an MBA and the Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University with a Bachelor's in Communication, Chanse has an impressive academic and professional background. His experience spans over a decade in leadership roles, particularly in non-profits dedicated to serving those in need of love and care. Most recently, Chanse worked with a southern Arizona non-profit focused on providing compassionate care and support to adults with autism, where he was deeply committed to living out Christ's call to serve and uplift the vulnerable.
At Spirit in the Desert, Chanse envisions building on Spirit in the Desert's existing strengths to further establish it as a leading destination for spiritual renewal and personal growth, attracting individuals worldwide. "My goal is to build upon the incredible foundation that has been established, further positioning Spirit in the Desert as a leading center for spiritual and personal transformation, where people from all walks of life can find refuge, inspiration, and guidance," said Chanse. "Through innovative fundraising and strategic partnerships, we will expand our reach and enhance our facilities, ensuring that our programs have a lasting, positive impact on individuals and communities worldwide."
Spirit in the Desert will host a welcome event on September 21, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, at the Anderson Gathering Table on the Campus of Spirit in the Desert to celebrate this new chapter. The event will feature hors d'oeuvres and drinks and an opportunity to bid Solveig Muus a fond farewell while warmly welcoming Chanse into the community.
