Spirit in the Desert Retreat Center Announces Opening for Director of Advancement

Spirit in the Desert Retreat Center is excited to announce the opening for the position of Director of Advancement. This pivotal role aims to enhance our fundraising efforts and broaden our impact within the community. The successful candidate will work closely with our Executive Director and Board of Directors, playing a key role in developing and managing our fundraising activities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute short and long-term fundraising goals.

  • Manage a diverse fundraising budget in collaboration with key stakeholders.

  • Utilize analytics and metrics to track fundraising progress and make informed decisions.

  • Coordinate with the management team for integrated marketing and communication strategies to support fundraising.

  • Plan and execute both online and in-person fundraising events.

  • Maintain and optimize use of our CRM systems, including Bloomerang, to ensure alignment with our mission and values.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Robust experience in philanthropy, including fundraising strategies, event planning, and CRM systems like Bloomerang.

  • Strong marketing, communication, and branding skills.

  • Proven track record of working effectively with a board of directors and leading successful fundraising initiatives.

This role requires a commitment to Spirit in the Desert’s mission, with a focus on providing excellent experiences for both internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for someone with energy, creativity, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
