Rev. Dan Potaznick Joins TULSAA Board: Strengthening Lutheran Alumni Ties

The United Lutheran Seminary Alumni Association (TULSAA) has appointed Rev. Dan Potaznick, CFRE, CFRM, to serve on its board, further strengthening connections among graduates of United Lutheran Seminary (ULS).

Rev. Potaznick, who serves as associate pastor for outreach at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Glendale, Arizona, and as Director of Generosity and Strategic Development for the Grand Canyon Synod, brings extensive experience in fundraising, stewardship, and leadership development to his new role. His appointment reflects a deep commitment to fostering theological education and alumni engagement.

A Long Island native, Rev. Potaznick earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University at Buffalo before pursuing his Master of Divinity at United Lutheran Seminary, where he was part of the first graduating class in 2018. He has since dedicated his ministry to stewardship and leadership development, serving as lead development officer for Wartburg Theological Seminary before being ordained in the Grand Canyon Synod in 2023.

Beyond his pastoral and synodical leadership, Rev. Potaznick also serves as director of development for Pinecrest Lutheran Leadership Ministries, a program dedicated to equipping young adults with leadership and faith formation skills. His work in these roles underscores his passion for engaging communities in stewardship and service.

“As a member of TULSAA, I look forward to strengthening alumni connections, supporting theological education, and ensuring that ULS graduates remain engaged with the seminary’s mission,” Rev. Potaznick said.

His appointment to the TULSAA board highlights the Grand Canyon Synod’s ongoing contribution to leadership in the wider church. We celebrate his dedication to ministry and look forward to the impact of his service.
