Ordination and Installation of Amalia Vagts
We welcome Amalia Vagts to the Grand Canyon Synod, who will begin serving Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Tucson this November.
Ordination
Bishop Hutterer will preside at her ordination on Sunday, October 23, 2021, 1–3 pm CDT at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Decorah, Iowa. Rev Jeff R. Johnson, pastor at University Lutheran Chapel in Berkeley, CA will preach. The service will be recorded and shared on YouTube (following the service). Installation
The Installation of Pastor Amalia Vagts will take place at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church (1200 North Campbell Avenue, Tucson, Arizona 85719) on Sunday, November 14, 2021, 3:30 - 4:30 pm MST, 4:30-5:30 pm PST, with a reception to follow. The Installation Service will be livestreamed on the church’s YouTube channel and their website, lutherantucson.org. View our calendar event.
