March 5-11 is Lutheran Schools Week
Celebrate this vital ministry and mission of the ELCA ! The Evangelical Lutheran Education Association (ELEA) is a recognized ministry of the ELCA. For more info, view elcaschools.org, read Bishop Eaton's message, and find ELCA schools by clicking here.
ELEA provides exceptional services and support to faith-based schools and centers. ELEA gathers weekday schools and early childhood educators of the ELCA and its ecumenical companions, as partners in the Gospel, into a collaborative community of educational excellence and effective advocacy.
A few statistics:
The ELCA has 1,350 schools & early learning centers, serving 150,000 children and employing 18,000 staff.
The Grand Canyon Synod has 21 schools and early learning centers, serving 1,603 children and employing 276 staff!
We also know the ELCA Schools to be ethnically diverse in staff and students served.
