International Efforts: U.N. Civil Society Conference
From May 9-10, the Lutheran Office for World Community represented our faith at the U.N. Civil Society Conference in Nairobi, Kenya. The conference drew 2,158 participants from 115 nationalities, focusing on increasing awareness and accountability ahead of the upcoming Summit of the Future in September. Our staff actively participated in forming ImPACT Coalitions, emphasizing faith and migration, to influence the Summit’s outcomes.

Colorado’s Legislative Landscape
In Colorado, the legislative session might have ended, but the ballot season is just starting. Lutheran Advocacy Ministry Colorado is gearing up to inform and guide voters on measures concerning property tax limitations, abortion rights, and other significant issues. Pennsylvania’s Diverse Advocacy
In Pennsylvania, the energy from Lutheran Day at the Capitol has transitioned into robust support for various community needs. From advocating for menstrual hygiene support in schools to preparing for electoral engagement through congregational resources, our efforts continue to embody our call to serve and advocate.

Texas: Ongoing Legislative and Social Concerns
Texas Impact continues to focus on reproductive rights and gun violence, leveraging faith-based perspectives to foster community dialogue and legislative engagement. With new initiatives like the Houston Faith Votes cohort, our congregations are ready to make a significant impact this voting season.

Washington’s Farm Bill Advocacy
Our collaboration in Washington has led to significant advocacy for the Farm Bill, with regional bishops pushing for equitable and sustainable agricultural policies. This effort underscores the Lutheran commitment to creation care and community support.

Wisconsin: Active Engagement in Synod Assemblies
