Less Than One Month Left to Register for Bishop’s Fall Gathering

The Bishop’s Fall Gathering is just around the corner, taking place from Monday, October 21 through Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at the beautiful Spirit in the Desert Retreat Center in Carefree, AZ. With the theme “Embody the Word,” this event is a unique opportunity for our synod’s active rostered ministers, retired pastors serving congregations, seminary students, and interns to come together for worship, fellowship, and spiritual renewal.

We are thrilled to welcome two special guests: Rev. Andrea Roske-Metcalfe from Diamond Lake Lutheran Church and Elder Perci Ami, a renowned author and storyteller. Their presence will enrich our time together as we explore what it means to truly embody the Word in our ministries and lives.

The retreat center provides a serene environment conducive to deepening connections with fellow ministers, making it an ideal setting for this gathering. While we encourage all attendees to stay on-site for the full experience, commuter options are also available. Meals are included with all registrations, ensuring that everyone is well-nourished physically as we nourish our spirits.

Important reminder: the registration deadline is Friday, September 13, 2024. Rooms are filling up quickly, so don’t delay! If financial concerns are a barrier, please contact the Office of the Bishop to inquire about available scholarships. For those with severe allergies, outside food can be brought in to supplement what is provided by the retreat center, although they cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
