Join us for the Manna Grants Webinar: Let's tackle hunger together

We invite you to a special webinar about our Manna Grants on June 28, 2023, at 5 pm MST/PDT, 6pm MDT. We're honored to have Sharon Magnuson and Roselle Tenorio from the ELCA join us, sharing insights on how to address root causes of hunger. Register here for the Zoom meeting.

Also, remember to apply for the Manna Grant by July 31, 2023. View our Manna Grant page for full info and an application.

The Manna Grants support projects that not only alleviate hunger but also tackle its root causes, while embodying a commitment to diversity and inclusivity. Congregations, SAWCs, and special ministries within our Synod can apply for grants up to $10,000.

Roselle Tenorio

My name is Roselle Tenorio (they/them), and I serve as the Program Manager for ELCA World Hunger – US accompanying our partners through grants. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Gender, Women’s and Sexuality Studies from Grinnell College. I chose the nonprofit career field after a rewarding experience writing a grant for a new mobile food pantry program in rural Iowa. After graduating college, I joined AmeriCorps VISTA and served in Savannah, Georgia at a nonprofit working on poverty alleviation. Outside ofworking and volunteering, in my free time, I can be found wandering an arboretum or an art gallery, birdwatching and enjoying the outdoors, scoping out delicious local vegan cuisine, or curling up with a new book. I am a seventh generation Tejanx, currently living in Chicago on the lands of the Council of Three Fires – the Ojibwa, Ottawa, and Potawatomi, Kickapoo, Miami, Ho-Chuck, Menominee, Sauk and Meskwaki peoples.
