Enter your video for the 2nd annual Generosity Film Festival
When we enter the Season of Advent we will light the first candle on the Advent Wreath, the candle that symbolizes HOPE. We do so in anticipation of Jesus birth as promised by the prophets. In the midst of the challenging times we continue to live, the GCS Stewardship Team invites you to give witness to your experiences of generosity that offer HOPE for the New Year.
How have elders and those in care facilities experienced generosity? How has an elder been a prophet of hope? How have children offered generosity and hope?
How has a household’s experience of generosity, as givers or receivers, given them hope in these challenging times?
How has your congregation given hope to others through generous acts?
Is there a particular person whose generosity instills hope in others?
How has sharing of time, treasure or talent given hope to those in the community?
Do you have a puppet ministry? Emerging artists? Teens who know the latest digital tools for creating videos? Invite them to help tell the story!
We look forward to an abundance of stories from across our synod, overflowing with heart-felt testimonies of generosity and hope. To enter, visit our film festival web page for tips and guidelines.
The deadline for submission is December 8, 2021. Videos will be featured on the synod website beginning December 26, 2021. All entries will receive Certificates worthy of framing. Special recognition will be given for: creative filming, engagement of multi-generations in the sharing of the story, an outstanding story of Hope.
