Electronic Giving for Congregations webinar
The Stewardship Team of the Grand Canyon Synod invites you to view their May 25, 2021 webinar presentation on Electronic Giving for Congregations. It includes information from both electronic giving service providers Vanco and Tithe.ly which are ELCA “Preferred Vendors” offering special discount pricing for ELCA congregations. The webinar also includes a presentation by team member Duane Gilson regarding our GCS eGiving survey results and a spreadsheet comparison of the cost of eGiving options.
Vanco presenters Keith Mundy and Jenny Lutter did a great job sharing GCS giving trends and describing Vanco’s eGiving service. They demonstrated the exciting new “Vanco Online” product for congregational giving webpage which is now available (free upgrade) for the 62 GCS congregations using Vanco. This new product enables your congregation to ‘tell the story’ of each fund and inspire generosity by touching the hearts of donors. From the zoom chat, Vanco contact information and links are: “For more information 855-213-3705 www.Vancopayments.com/egiving/elca Keith Mundy keith.mundy@vancopayments.com and Jenny Lutter jenny.lutter@vancopayments.com”

Vanco’s “reduced pricing for ELCA. Rates are: $0 per month, 2.35% + 35 cents per transaction; ACH/eCheck: .8% +35 cents.” Vanco also provided these PDF resources: a Vanco GCS Presentation shown in the webinar, and a Churchgoer Giving Study conducted by Vanco.
Tithe.ly provided this link to a similar 49 minute zoom presentation/demonstration they had done for the ELCA Southwestern Minnesota synod congregations . https://tithely.wistia.com/medias/v0s1pwn3a1 . The Tithe.ly-ELCA partnership page with discount ELCA pricing is: https://get.tithe.ly/elca
Tithe.ly also provided this link to a 30 minute interview between Tithe.ly Co-Founder Frank Barry and the team from Mt. Pisgah Lutheran Church (ELCA). This discussion is about leveraging technology to grow the church using services like Tithe.ly's website and smartphone app tools. You’ll hear about Mt. Pisgah’s experience easily adopting the Tithe.ly suite of tools during the pandemic.
