In a world engulfed in transitions and unanticipated turbulence, the essence of spiritual resiliency and a contemplative approach to actions has become paramount. The Rural Church Cohort, initiated for lay or rostered leaders, serves as a beacon of solace, guidance, and spiritual rejuvenation amidst these chaotic times. Meeting every Thursday from 11:30-12:30 (PT) via Zoom, starting October 19, this group offers an oasis of serenity and contemplation.
Contemplative Action Groups emerge as a refuge for church leaders in these trying times, providing a creative, empathetic, and stimulating environment, enabling leaders to navigate and embrace their Christian callings uniquely and holistically. Spanning over twelve, sixty-minute sessions, each group convenes within a facilitated covenant group to offer a blend of spiritual nourishment, rest, prayer, friendship, and avenues for personal growth and healing.
This cohort extends its arms to leaders, whether lay or ordained, serving particularly in rural communities, including church staff, vestry or council members, clergy, worship leaders, and other congregational volunteers. The platform welcomes anyone yearning to rekindle their dedication to service, both in the church and the wider world.
