Christian nationalism poses a significant threat to both democracy and freedom. This ideology dangerously merges American and Christian identities, leading to religious privilege, racial injustice, book bans, and widespread voter suppression. We must stand together to address these challenges and protect the democratic values we hold dear.
On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. PDT/MST (6:00 p.m. MDT), the BJC Center for Faith, Justice and Reconciliation, along with the Christians Against Christian Nationalism campaign, invites you to a special online screening of the short film Suppressed and Sabotaged: The Fight to Vote. This powerful documentary highlights the ways voter suppression is used to disenfranchise marginalized communities—college students, seniors, low-wage workers, LGBTQ+ individuals, and many more. A panel discussion will follow the screening, providing action steps to educate, mobilize, and organize within our communities.
This event is a critical opportunity for people of faith to come together, take a stand, and actively work against forces that undermine justice. We encourage you to register today and share this event with others who are committed to preserving democracy.
