Meet our CFO JON PAUL!

As CFO, Jon Paul has helped numerous organizations better handle their finances and accounting, paving the way for successful, profitable growth. He has been involved in six successful ventures in various for-profit industries, including toys, generic pharmaceuticals, wireless telecom, distribution, and healthcare. He has served on several not-for-profit boards or been CFO or Treasurer, including churches, social service agencies, and networking organizations, helping them upgrade their finance systems, raise funds, and continue to grow their member and capital base.

Jon has lived in Henderson since 2021 and is a member of New Song church, where he has served on the council for several years. He is now the Treasurer. He started his career at Arthur Andersen after earning a CPA and bachelor’s degree in accounting through the University of Illinois. He then moved on to earn a Harvard MBA to make the transition over to private industry. Jon and Susan have been married for 42 years and have two sons and three grandchildren.

Throughout her career, Vanessa has worked with hundreds of small businesses and nonprofits, assisting in their accounting needs. Her approach prioritizes integrity, quality, and adaptability, ensuring the financial foundation is set so that businesses scale successfully.

At Lutheran Social Services of Nevada, Vanessa plays a key role in managing financial operations, grant compliance, and budget oversight. She collaborates with leadership to develop financial strategies that align with the organization’s mission while maintaining transparency. Her expertise in financial reporting, risk management, and process improvement enhances operational efficiency and long-term impact.

Meet Terrance Butler our Financial Compliance Manager!

Terrance Butler is a results-driven Financial Compliance Manager with extensive experience in financial oversight, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency within nonprofit and corporate sectors. He specializes in ensuring adherence to financial regulations, optimizing compliance frameworks, and streamlining processes to enhance organizational effectiveness.

With a career spanning project management, quality assurance, and financial compliance, Terrance has successfully led cross-functional teams, implemented process improvements, and strengthened financial controls. His expertise includes regulatory compliance, financial reporting, risk management, and strategic leadership, ensuring organizations maintain operational integrity and audit readiness.

Currently overseeing financial compliance at Lutheran Social Services of Nevada, Terrance collaborates with leadership to ensure financial integrity, optimize reporting processes, and support long-term organizational success. Known for his solutions-oriented mindset and commitment to excellence, he provides key insights that drive informed decision-making and sustainable growth.

Record Breaking Pantry Numbers, AGAIN!

This February, we set a new milestone at our pantry by distributing over 53,434 pounds of food to those battling food insecurity. Thanks to the unwavering support from Three Square, our dedicated church partners, and the generous contributions from private donors, we are making a substantial impact, feeding multitudes each day. The demand in our community is increasing, especially among veterans and seniors who struggle to secure even one meal a day.
