Beautiful Savior Lutheran, Tucson, face mask project
David Pavesic of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, Tucson, writes:
In this time of COVID, we hear of hospitals running short of PPE. More than hospitals need masks, though the needs are different.
Various women of the church have been sewing simple masks to be used by caregivers and other helpers of the most vulnerable. They can be worn by those helping with Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest, and local food pantries and other social service agencies.
The patterns are out there online, so using scraps of fabric from other projects (like quilts and baby blankets) they create these masks.
May they be a blessing to those who receive, and help those who receive the mask be a blessing to those who receive the care that is being provided.
