Pastor Gary McCluskey writes:
Dear Travel Partner,
Thank you for your willingness to trek along with us in thought, prayer, and devotion this Lenten season. These devotions were written by members of our congregation, University Lutheran Church, and students in our Lutheran Campus Ministry attending Arizona State University.
It was especially touching to me to see several students on a Wednesday night after worship gathered around the fireplace in our Campus Center. Laptops were out and open and they were working together to write their devotions.
You have in your hand the end product of church members and students. We call this a devotional, yet it seems to me perhaps the greatest devotion here was the effort that went into writing these. In the midst of raising families, working, and running a household; in the midst of working, studying, attending class, and writing papers, these authors found the time and dedication to reflect upon a text and write a devotion.
Thank you for traveling with us this Lent. We look forward to seeing you in Jerusalem and beyond!
Gratefully in Christ,
Gary N. McCluskey
