Sarah Morris
Congregational Membership: Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Phoenix AZ, Capital Conference
Education/training: Master's in Library Science; Bachelor's in Psychology
Occupation: Research Librarian
Life Experiences: I am a volunteer! I have been actively giving my time and talent to various charities and organizations since I was in high school. As a member of the Key Club, we would paint over graffiti near our high school. I would regularly walked to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. After graduating from college, I joined professional organizations and quickly took on leadership roles, volunteering to organize events, fundraise, and recruit new members. I strongly believe in being of service to my community and I enjoy helping others in any way I can.
Related Activities: I currently serve as our church council president and have previously acted as the secretary. Pre-COVID I actively sang in the church choir. I'm currently a member of the Phoenix Fusion Think Tank and am part of the small group who organizes the racial justice programs. I've organized our church's annual Christmas caroling event for the past few years, as well as the CROP Walk. And I make sure my 94 year-old grandma gets to church too!
