Revamped Campformation a Success!

Between July 7-12, we were thrilled to have 120 campers and 35 counselors from 16 congregations across Arizona and Las Vegas for a fantastic week of faith formation and adventure!

Campformation’s new mission is to provide faith formation for 6th-12th grade youth in an outdoor setting. Campformation’s large team of pastors and youth leaders worked for months on this year’s Campformation experience. Each person around the table was passionate about camping ministry, young people, and faith formation.

This year’s camp was at Camp Pinerock in Prescott. The directors were terrific to work with, and we plan to continue to have Campformation at Camp Pinerock in the future. As part of this camp, youth participated in low-ropes, high-ropes, swimming, archery, hiking, an indoor rock wall, and much more!

The theme of this year camp was “A Love that Never Ends.” We explored how special we are to God, how God’s love is unconditional, and the love we feel in a faith community. We also explored that because God shows us love through unending grace, we are meant to go into the world to share God’s love with others.

A video was created (both in short and extended versions) to show you the incredible experience everyone had at camp this year. We plan on growing this ministry and touching the lives of countless people.
