New pastors gather for First Call Theological Education

Six new pastors (Abel Arroyo-Traverso, Mateo Chavez, Kimberlee Law, Kathleen Lotz, David Sivecz, and Stephen Hilding) gathered in San Diego, CA with 35 other new to the roster leaders and synod staff for First Call Theological Education.

Participants reviewed the thought-provoking books, Tod Bolsinger’s Canoeing the Mountains, Lenny Duncan’s Dear Church: A Love Letter from a Black Preacher to the Whitest Denomination in the US, and Emotional Intelligence 2.0 by Travis Bradberry and Jean Greaves.

The next gathering for FCTE will happen spring of 2020 at Mercy Center in Burlingame, CA.
