Learning to Love Other People's Children: Climate Justice, Migration, and the Ethics of Care

The 2020 Mohrenweiser Lecture Series presents Learning to Love Other People's Children:  Climate Justice, Migration, and the Ethics of Care with Nancy Berlinger, PhD, MDiv.

Friday, December 4, 2020, 10am MST, 9am PST via Zoom, free to join, registration required.

Please join us for a lecture and panel dicussion as we consider two contemporary problems of collective moral action — the care of the planet and the care of migrants — and argue for linking these problems.

An additional afternoon workshop is open to those who wish to apply the content of the lecture and panel toward action in local faith communities, nonprofit organizations and other groups.

The Mohrenweiser Lecture Series has been established to address moral and ethical decision points between the practices of faith, science and medicine. This lectureship invites experts in biological and medical fields to spark dialogue among church and academic constituents for the purpose of increasing understanding and guiding moral discernment. It will provide support for individuals, families, villages and organizations engaging in dialog and making difficult decisions at the complex interface of biology, medicine and life with their faith and moral perspectives.
