This October, Partners for Sacred Places is bringing a national opportunity for photographers with the launch of its “Sacred Places at the Heart of Communities” Photo Contest. This contest is an invitation to both amateur and professional photographers to capture and share the essence and spirit of sacred places that are the pulsing hearts of their communities.

In celebration of 35 years of devotion to the stewardship and communal utilization of sacred places across America, this contest invites entries in four distinctive categories: Spiritual Moments, Education and Service, Open Space, and Arts and Community Events. It’s a chance to showcase the beauty and vibrant energy of these sacred spaces, reflecting their integral role in community life.

Submissions are welcomed starting October 1, 2023, and will run until November 19, 2023. The contest promises exciting prizes with the potential to win up to $1000. Two selections from each category will receive a $500 award: one chosen by the jury and one chosen by audience choice, with one of these also receiving an additional $500 as the contest winner.
