Calling Young Artists! Share Your Vision of Church for the 2025 Synod Assembly
Children and youth across the Grand Canyon Synod are invited to share their creativity in a special art project for the 2025 Synod Assembly! This year’s theme, “Build Up the Body”, is drawn from Ephesians 4:12-13:
“…to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ.”
We are all part of the Body of Christ—worshiping, working, and serving together. But what does that look like to a child? Maybe it’s Jesus surrounded by people, a church family gathered in worship, a community caring for others, or something entirely unique. We’re inviting children and youth to share how they see Jesus, Church, and Me through their drawings, paintings, and digital artwork.
How to Participate
Who Can Submit? Children and youth from congregations across the Grand Canyon Synod.
How to Submit? Parents, pastors, or leaders can upload artwork using our online submission form.
Deadline: Friday, May 9, 2025
Where Will the Artwork Be Seen?
At the 2025 Synod Assembly – All submissions will be displayed at the event.
Online Gallery – Artwork will be showcased on our synod website.
Postcards! – 25 selected pieces will be printed as postcards and given as gifts at the Assembly.
🎉 Bonus! Every child who submits artwork will be entered into a drawing for a gift card to buy more art supplies!
