Lutheran Social Services of Nevada and Lutheran Engagement and Advocacy in Nevada present “Food Deserts” in Nevada.
Featured presenters will be Derrick Felder, LSSN Assistant Executive Director and Bill Ledford, LEAN Advocate.
In Southern Nevada we know we live in a desert. We also have areas known as “food deserts”, but what are these and what can we do about them? What are the greatest needs for food in our community? What can we do together through LSSN to make a difference? How can we influence the government to take part in alleviating hunger?
We will meet at Lutheran Social Services of Nevada, 4323 Boulder Highway Las Vegas, NV 89121. You will have the opportunity to tour the LSSN facility and enjoy some refreshments. Please bring donations for the Thanksgiving baskets.
Please RSVP with number attending by Tuesday, November 5 to Pastor Diane Drach-Meinel at pastordiane@cslconline.org.
