16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence

Dear companions in Ministry,

Many activities from the Americas and the Caribbean to the Lutheran churches in Indonesia to the church in Madagascar, and more churches, are coming together to participate in the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence. Starting on Nov 25th, 2022, we will be acting, lifting voices, and promoting a more justice world for women and girls.

Please find attached the form to sign up here for your activity during this campaign. The deadline for submission is November 20, 2022. Once we compile all the activities, we will create a master calendar to share with you with links. We would like to invite you all to follow and share these activities during the 16 days of activism.

Resources:

This year we have created two additional resources that might help with your activity:

  • Images in English and Spanish that can be set as your profile on social media (below at the bottom of this post).

  • A Postcard that you can use to invite people to join your activity. You will receive this upon completing the form.

We will be using the following hashtags: #16daysofactivism #PorUnaVidaPlenaParaMujersYNinas #AbundantLifeForWomenAndGirls

On behalf of the Program Directors for Relationships team and the Coordinator for Gender Justice for Latin America and the Caribbean through the ELCA Companion Synod Program, we thank you for your commitment to ending Gender Based Violence, for your leadership, boldness, and creativity to dare to express and lift your voices to bring consolation and healing to those suffering and for those who left us without receiving Justice.
