When you invite your members to give to the church, you invite them to participate in God's work locally and also in places that they cannot be physically. They get excited to be part of it!

“Beginning a Culture of Generosity” guides you through your Fall Stewardship Appeal

Beginning a Culture of Generosity (BCG) and is a timely program presented by 3E and the Grand Canyon Synod, designed to guide congregations through their fall stewardship appeal in this challenging year.

The program aims for congregations to stabilize current 2020 year giving to 2019 (pre-Coronavirus) levels, with modest growth for 2021. Registration is open through August 15th.

3E and GCS are offering a $500 scholarship for each congregation toward the program cost of $650.

Grand Canyon Synod members attended a free stewardship presentation by Evan Moilan, CFRE, entitled “Stewardship in Uncertain Times” on Monday, May 18, 2020.

In this seminar, Evan Moilan used historical giving data and new forecasts to share best practices that congregations can engage right now, and over the next few months to ensure generosity not only continues but strengthens in their ministries.

But sometimes the idea of stewardship gets misunderstood, equated simply with monetary giving rather than a generosity of much more—time, spirit, love. Linda Staats is trying to change that with the Generosity Project, a new stewardship resource she authored for ELCA congregations.
