Deacons in ELCA Regions 1 & 2 are invited to participate in a Cohort group that is intended to help leaders thrive in ministry. The group meets on Fridays for 1.5 hours, every other week through June. If you are interested in learning more, please fill out this form.
The focus of the group is on spiritual practices, community, accountability, and creating brave spaces. This Cohort group is funded by a grant received by CLU and PLTS: Thriving Leadership Formation, www.thrivingleadershipformation.org.
This is the second of this kind…the first group in the fall was excellent. If you are seeking others with a shared understanding of your role as a Deacon, are possibly feeling isolated, burnt out and/or needing connection to meaningful community, this may be for you.

The Deacon Cohort will meet via Zoom (video) every other week. It is important to prioritize this in your calendar if you choose to participate. There will only be 5-9 people in this cohort and this is the second cohort that has been created specifically for Ministers of Word and Service in Regions 1 & 2. This group is facilitated by Deacon Laura Carson from Las Cruces, New Mexico.
This group will gather on Fridays for 1.5 hours. The schedule is mostly every other week, but moves around a little to avoid Good Friday and finish before July. Please pay attention to the schedule and your time zone.
