Lutheran World Relief (LWR) is once again calling on the faithful to support their mission through the 2024 Fall Ingatherings in Tucson and Phoenix. These events provide a tangible way for our synod to contribute to global relief efforts by donating quilts, kits, and other essential items to those in need.

Tucson Area Collection:

• Dates: September 13-14, 2024, from 9:00 AM to noon

• Location: Streams in the Desert Lutheran Church, 5360 E. Prima St., Tucson, AZ 85712

Phoenix/Glendale Area Collection:

• Dates: October 18-19, 2024, from 9:00 AM to noon

• Location: Atonement Lutheran Church, 4001 W. Beardsley Rd., Glendale, AZ 85308

Lutheran World Relief relies on donations of quilts and kits, and your participation can make a significant impact. Please pack your items in strong cartons, secure them with packing tape (no rubber bands or duct tape), and label the contents clearly in large, block letters. Each box should weigh no more than 40 lbs. For detailed guidelines on what is needed and how to prepare your donations, visit the LWR website at lwr.org/pack.

Including your congregation’s name and address on the boxes is optional but encouraged, as it adds a personal touch to your donations.

These ingatherings are an opportunity to extend Christ’s love to our neighbors worldwide. By coming together as a community to provide for those in need, we reflect the care and compassion that lies at the heart of our faith. Let’s make this fall’s ingathering a success!
