Welcoming Rev. Benjamin B. Bergren to the ELCA Church Council

We’re happy to announce the election of the Rev. Benjamin B. Bergren, who serves at Community Lutheran Church in Las Vegas, to the ELCA Church Council. His term, filling a vacancy left by the Rev. Karn Carroll, will extend until August 2025.

The Church Council, which serves as the ELCA churchwide organization's board of directors and interim legislative authority between churchwide assemblies, gathered in Chicago from November 9-12.

We extend our thanks to Pastor Karn Carroll for her service and contributions to the council. Her dedication and leadership have been instrumental in guiding our church through times of change and growth.
