Engage, Connect, and Cool Off: Be a Resident Theologian at Campformation

Are you a rostered leader looking for new ways to connect with youth in your congregation? Join us at Camp Pinerock in the cool pines of Arizona from Monday, June 30 to Friday, July 4, 2025, for a unique opportunity to minister to confirmation-age youth (grades 6–10) from across the Grand Canyon Synod.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Stewardship of Life Institute, we’re inviting three rostered leaders to attend Campformation for free—with travel, room, and board covered. This opportunity is perfect for pastors and deacons who want to deepen their ministry with youth, especially if you find it challenging to connect with the one or two young people who attend your church sporadically.

As a Resident Theologian, you’ll create and deliver a 30-minute lesson on “Stewardship of Creation,” exploring God’s call for us to care for His gifts. You’ll also gain firsthand experience of how confirmation-age youth engage in camp life, learning from other pastors, deacons, and youth leaders in a fun, supportive environment.

In addition to these rewarding experiences, you’ll enjoy downtime to reflect on your role as a steward of God’s creation, surrounded by the beauty of the Arizona wilderness. And did we mention the bonus of escaping the summer heat?

Act now! Registration closes March 15, 2025, and spaces are limited. To express your interest, contact Pr. Tim Perlick at tim.perlick@gmail.com. Don’t miss this chance to inspire and be inspired!
