As we approach 2025, we are called to reflect on our shared mission to embody God’s vision of equality and abundance. In 2 Corinthians 8, the Apostle Paul reminds us that “the one who had much did not have too much, and the one who had little did not have too little.” These words inspire our collective work as the Grand Canyon Synod, powered by your congregation’s Mission Support.

Each dollar of Mission Support reflects God’s call to generosity and sustains vital ministries. Here’s how your contributions will be used:

• 50% for ELCA Ministries: Supporting global programs like ELCA World Hunger, disaster relief, and the Young Adults in Global Mission program.

• 25% for Local Missions: Empowering organizations like Lutheran Social Services and the Native American Urban Ministry.

• 25% for Synod Leadership: Providing pastoral support, leadership training, and resources through the Office of the Bishop.

Your gifts enable us to invest in leadership, nurture young faith, empower partnerships, and provide congregational care. Together, we are equipping pastors, transforming lives, and advancing God’s mission across cultures and generations.

Action Needed:

Congregations are encouraged to complete their 2025 Mission Support Statement of Intent by February 1, 2025. This step is vital for planning the year ahead. Download the form (available in English and Spanish) and return it via email to office@gcsynod.org or by postal mail.
