Synod Spotlight: Soreo Expands Impact, Doubling Support for Aging and Disabled in Arizona

Soreo, a service of Mosaic, has taken a significant step in its mission to provide in-home care for aging individuals and people with disabilities across Arizona. On August 1, Soreo doubled its service capacity through the acquisition of Prileo, a local home care provider, extending its reach to support nearly 950 individuals—up from 450 just a day earlier.

This expansion extends Soreo’s footprint beyond the Phoenix, Tucson, and Casa Grande areas, bringing vital services to new regions, including Kingman and Yuma. This growth reflects Mosaic’s ongoing commitment to its values of Belonging, Connection, Faithfulness, and Grit, ensuring that more individuals can receive high-quality, compassionate care in the comfort of their own homes.

Mosaic’s acquisition of Soreo in 2018 was a strategic move to expand their mission beyond their traditional focus on individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). By embracing in-home support services, Soreo helps individuals maintain their independence and continue living in familiar environments, a goal that aligns with the broader shift in disability services towards more personalized, home-based care.

As Soreo grows, so does its ability to advocate for higher quality care and stronger support systems across Arizona. This expansion not only benefits those receiving care but also strengthens the organization’s voice in shaping the future of in-home support services. Mosaic’s long history of service, rooted in Lutheran values, continues to guide its work as it adapts to meet the evolving needs of the communities it serves.

We celebrate Soreo’s growth and the continued impact of Mosaic’s mission to love and serve our neighbors, especially those who need it most.
