We're inviting every member of the Grand Canyon Synod to partake in our Quilts and Kits Ingatherings. It’s more than just a donation drive; it’s a communion of souls wanting to make a difference.

• For those in the Tucson area, please mark your calendars for September 7 and September 9, 2023. We'll be gathering at Our Saviour’s Lutheran from 9 am to noon. For more details, reach out to Michele Ruttinger.

• In the Glendale & Phoenix area, Atonement Lutheran Church is our hub on September 8 and 9, 2023, also from 9 am to noon. Ellen Born is your point of contact.

• Las Vegas and St. George, UT residents, Community Lutheran Church will be collecting quilts from now through September 14, 2023. Susan Girouard is eagerly awaiting your contributions.

• Lastly, for those attending the Women of the ELCA’s Triennial Gathering in Phoenix, bring your quilts to the Just Love Quilt Lab in the Exhibit Hall at the Convention Center between September 21-23, 2023.

Since 1945, Lutheran World Relief (LWR) has woven a tapestry of love and care, distributing quilts to families who need them the most. Fast forward to today, and our commitment remains unwavering with an annual distribution of an average of 300,000 quilts. But that's not all – our community comes together to gather school kits, personal care kits, baby care kits, and fabric kits, extending warmth and hope across the globe.

Each contribution, once assembled, finds its way to a LWR warehouse, where it’s prepped for its ultimate journey. But before any quilt or kit is dispatched, it is first passed through loving hands and graced with blessings in congregations like yours.
