**Rev. Dan Potaznick Earns Certificate in Fundraising Management**

**Phoenix, AZ — 8/21/2024 ** — The Grand Canyon Synod Office of the Bishop, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), is proud to announce that Rev. Dan Potaznick, Director of Generosity and Strategic Development, has successfully completed the Certificate in Fundraising Management through the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy Fund Raising School at Indiana University Indianapolis.

In May 2024, Rev. Potaznick completed the final course in the program, "Developing Annual Sustainability," marking the culmination of a comprehensive four-course journey that also included "Principles & Techniques of Fundraising," "Developing Major Gifts," and "Planned Giving: Getting the Proper Start." This accomplishment adds to his existing credentials, including the prestigious CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) certification.

Rev. Potaznick expressed excitement about the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills gained from this esteemed program to further serve the Grand Canyon Synod. "I'm thrilled to bring these insights back to our community," he shared. "The education I received has equipped me with advanced strategies and tools to support our mission, helping to ensure the long-term sustainability and growth of our ministry."
