On Saturday, March 13, Beth Gallen will be ordained into the Ministry of Word and Sacrament of the ELCA. The service will be live streamed on Saturday, March 13 at 10:30 am through Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church's YouTube channel. Her son will also be baptized in the service.

Here’s how to join in the celebration!

1. Visit Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church's YouTube channel and click the image titled “Beth Gallen's Ordination- 10:30am 3/13-Live Streamed Service."

2. The service includes a thanksgiving for baptism, and Vicar Beth is encouraging all those participating online to have a bowl of water near them for this part of the service. Her son, Oliver Jeffery, who was born on January 17, 2021 will be baptized in the service. This is very exciting for the Gallen family. Thank you for making promises to support and encourage him in his journey of faith!

3. Due to COVID, we cannot lay on hands during the ordination itself. Vicar Beth is requesting folks to write a blessing on their palm, take a photo (horizontal, please!) and send it to her email address: elizabeth.gallen827@gmail.com by Saturday, March 6. The photo will be displayed during the laying on of hands to symbolize this most important act.

Vicar Beth Gallen served Grace Lutheran, Phoenix, as intern August 2019-August 2020. She will be the pastor at New Journey Lutheran in Fountain Hills.
