Lutheran Social Services of Nevada seeks Santas

Can You Be Someone's Santa this Year?

Our favorite time of the year at Lutheran Social Services of Nevada is Christmas, thanks to our Christmas Angel Tree! Each Christmas we collect wish lists from the children of LSSN clients and seniors in our Senior Supportive Services program and match them with "Santas" (sponsors) from our community. Santas are given information about their family, such as the number of members and the children's favorite colors, ages, clothing sizes, favorite toys, and dream gifts. Then, the Santas are able to purchase whatever gift they think fits their family best. Once the gifts are purchased, the Santa drops off the gifts at LSSN and we distribute them to the families. The joy and gratitude felt by families when they see their presents is its own gift every Christmas.

Interested in Becoming Someone's Santa this Christmas?

Santas may choose to support a family of any size, from two to even ten or more! LSSN places no minimums on what can be spent on each family, but from past experience, adopting groups, families, and individuals have spent approximately $50 to $100 per household and/or $20 to $50 per individual child.

Sponsor information must be collected no later than December 4th, and all gifts must be at LSSN by December 14th. More information will be published on our website, on our Facebook page, and through local congregations as the Christmas season approaches.

If you would like to sign up to be a Santa, please download and complete the form below and send it to Tristan at tristan@lssnv.org.
