Making Room for All: An Advent Pilgrimage of Justice and Peace

This Advent season, you’re invited to embark on a spiritual journey that connects the timeless story of Christ’s birth with the realities of Bethlehem and the Holy Land today. Beginning November 30, join ELCA Young Adults and Sumud for the Advent Pilgrimage in Palestine, a powerful series of reflections, webinars, and resources designed to deepen our faith and understanding. This year’s theme, inspired by Luke 2:7, challenges us to consider: “Who does not have room in the empire?” Through weekly reflections and resources, we will explore what it means to make room for justice, inclusion, and peace in our lives and communities.

Key Events and Resources:

  • Nov. 30: Opening Webinar (6:30 PM MST)

  • Weekly video reflections (Mondays)

  • Weekly written blogs and discussion guides (Wednesdays)

  • Dec. 5, 10, 17: Special webinars featuring speakers from Gaza, ELCJHL, and YAGM Alumni.

Participants will have access to resources that include theological reflections, discussion questions, and actionable steps. These materials are ideal for small groups, congregations, or individual reflection.
