In Memoriam: Pastor Ronald Pechauer

We pray for the friends and family of Rev. Ronald Franklin Pechauer, who died December 4, 2024 in Apple Valley, MN. Pastor Pechauer had served at Shepherd of the Desert in Sun City, as well as many other churches. Obituary is available here.

Ronald Pechauer was born August 29, 1937, in Milwaukee WI. He was the son of Peter and Claudia (Hagen) Pechauer. He died December 4, 2024, in Apple Valley MN. Graduated from Pulaski High School (1955), St. Olaf College (1959) and Luther Theological Seminary (1963). Married Rachel Mandsager June 2, 1961. Ordained into the ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church June 2, 1963.

Served parishes in Kunesh WI (Peace) and Little Suamico WI (St. John's), Austin MN (St. Olaf), Farmington MN (Farmington Lutheran), Hayward WI (First Lutheran), Stevens Point WI (Trinity), Brookfield WI (Calvary) and Sun City AZ (Shepherd of the Desert ). He was Director of Church Relations at St. Olaf College and has since served on the Alumni Board and Fund Board of St. Olaf College.

He is survived by wife Rachel, daughters Sara Pechauer and Lisa (David) Jensen, grandsons Soren Jensen and Bjorn Jensen, and brother Marshall (Martha) Pechauer. Proceeded in death by sister Caryl Pechauer, infant son (1963), and parents.

Service will be Friday, December 13, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at Farmington Lutheran Church with visitation starting at 12:30 PM along with a gathering for fellowship and refreshments after, 20060 Akin Road, Farmington MN. It will be live-streamed by accessing the Farmington Lutheran livestream in your internet search tab. Memorials can be given to the Ronald F and Rachel E Mandsager Pechauer Endowed Scholarships at St. Olaf College or at Luther Seminary (St. Paul MN) or to ChildVoice International.
