The ELCA warmly invites high school and college students, ages 16-20, to seize a remarkable opportunity this summer with the Horizon Apprenticeship Program. Running from Sunday, June 2, to Sunday, July 28, 2024, this program is a beacon for young adults of color or those whose primary language is other than English, illuminating paths of discernment for their future roles within the church and their communities.

What Awaits You? Participants will embark on an 8-week journey, dedicating 20+ hours a week to immersive internships within their home congregations. This hands-on experience is beautifully complemented by engaging online sessions designed for learning and networking, enriching participants' missional imagination and understanding of their baptismal call.

A Unique Opportunity:

• Stipend: Each apprentice receives a stipend of $1,800 for the summer, acknowledging their commitment and contribution.

• Mentorship: Work under the guidance of your congregation's leader, dive deep into worship, bible study, and explore various facets of congregational life.

• Project Development: Collaborate with your mentor to conceive and execute a meaningful project, leaving a lasting impact on your community.

• Orientation and Retreat: Mark your calendars for the online orientation on May 21 and the online retreat from July 16-17, pivotal moments for connection and reflection.
