Faith Leaders Unite: ELCA Coaching’s January 29 Gathering

Faith leaders across the ELCA are invited to join Creating Beloved Community: Living a Life of Faith, a monthly gathering hosted by ELCA Coaching. This January, the meeting will take place on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, instead of the usual fourth Wednesday, and will provide an opportunity to reflect deeply on how we live out our faith in the world.

These virtual gatherings, which began in March 2020, have evolved from pandemic-era support to a focus on Courageous Leadership and now toward Creating Beloved Community. Inspired by Scripture, Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision, and a wide range of diverse voices, this series invites participants into healing, learning, and action. The framework moves intentionally from head to heart to hands—listening, learning, and sharing—culminating in actionable steps to live out God’s call.

In this month’s session, we’ll draw on spiritual practices, the teachings of MLK’s Letter from Birmingham Jail, and bell hooks’ wisdom: “Healing is an act of communion.” Participants will reflect on Spirit’s movement in their lives and discern their next faithful steps.

Who should attend? All members of the Body of Christ are welcome—whether or not you consider yourself a leader. Together, we’ll embrace the “priesthood of all believers” and take small but significant steps toward building relationships of trust and collective liberation.

The session begins at 11:00 AM Pacific | 12:00 PM Mountain | 1:00 PM Central. To participate, join the Zoom meeting here. Login details and recordings of past gatherings are available on the ELCA Coaching website.

Take a step toward healing and communion this January. Together, let’s discern how God is calling us to act in the world.
