Extended network provides refrigerator for Hózhó Café

Pastor David Brandfass, Christ Lutheran, Sedona, writes:

The refrigerator up and running!

During a pandemic your community connections can come in handy.

About a week or so ago, Christ Lutheran got word of a the need to replace a broken refrigerator at the Hózhó Café at the Navajo Evangelical Lutheran Mission in Rock Point.

Through the combined efforts of Christ Lutheran which provided the funding, the Arizona Community Foundation of Sedona which provided access to some communication channels, the Sedona Chamber of Commerce which picked it up and put the need on their Facebook page, and a wonderful Sedona resident who heard about it and provided the truck and transportation needed, we all got it done for the Hózhó Café at the mission which provides low or no cost nutritious meals to at least 60 people a day at Rock Point, on the Navajo Nation.

As of Monday, they have their much need replacement refrigerator, an experienced, but well-working unit. God’s Work. Our Hands. (and sometimes “our hands” might be beyond our congregation’s four walls.)
