Embrace Global Mission: The ELCA Young Adults in Global Mission Program Awaits You

Are you a young adult aged 21-35 looking for a life-changing experience that deepens your faith and broadens your understanding of God’s work in the world? The ELCA’s Young Adults in Global Mission (YAGM) program invites you to join an extraordinary journey of service and discovery. Learn more at ELCA.org/YAGM.

Applications for the YAGM program are now open on a rolling basis year-round. Those applying by February 1, 2024, will be considered for the service year starting in August 2024, with priority given to applicants before January 15, 2024.

As a YAGM volunteer, you will have the unique opportunity to serve in the spirit of accompaniment, walking alongside global church companions. This immersive experience in a new community will not only allow you to form deep and lasting relationships but also confront critical global issues like poverty, racial and gender privilege, globalization, and economic disparity, all through the lens of faith.

The program offers a wide array of professional experiences relevant to various interests and career paths. Whether your passion lies in health and human rights, education, environmental justice, professional support, or congregational ministry, YAGM has a place for you. You'll work in fields ranging from healthcare and homelessness to agriculture, office work, and children's ministry.

Host families, churches, workplaces, and communities around the world are ready to welcome YAGM volunteers. Don’t miss this chance to transform your life and those around you. Spread the word and encourage eligible young adults to apply by February 1, 2024, for a priority consideration for the August 2024 service year.
